1995 GSX vs 2004 Corvette

22 PSI 116 octane 100% humidity Just arrived in Ohio after an 8 hour drive. Only a half hour cool down to change fuel over and pass tech inspection. This was my first race of the evening.

Opponent's car had LS6 upgrades under the hood with Carbon Fiber intake treatments and Z06 wheels.

@BLACKLACDTS Chad will come back swingin' something else. He was wrenching on his old mustang the day after having back surgery. I'm sure he'll buy his salvage. He wanted a trailblazer, but I won't be surprised if he ends up buying a Corvette.

@BLACKLACDTS The LS2 truck is no more. My friend was bit by a brown recluse. He called the doctor who called in a prescription and demanded he bring himself in for a lancing... long story short, picked up the antibiotics, made it another 1/3 of a mile, passed out and hit a tree going 55+?mph. He's getting surgery on his left orbital tomorrow and has been treated for the bite. He'll be ok. Truck, gone. He went through 3 transmissions in 1500 miles & had just installed a Tremec last weekend.

@Jafromobile I like both cars (I own a C5 and an Eclipse). Props for the low 12 with the Eclipse. I just know what the Vette is capable of also. :)

@YngwieGuitarGod you dont get the point, there is no driver error in an auto. an awd trapping 110 is like a rwd car trapping 120ish as the awd leads to slower trap speeds but great 60 foot and eigth mile times. autos in a stock vette are slower than the stick shifts.

He had a fantastic hole shot with an .001 light, so I don't know what happened? Keep coming back because the Eclipse just got faster without losing any weight. In fact, I'm 20 lbs. fatter. I must be happy or something?

@mustangjunkie10 Trapping 109.76mph.. yeah, the Vette driver sucks. He should've been right there with the Eclipse since it trapped 110. Auto or not, that Vette is a 12.5 car.
