Sam needs media exposure, a tv show/documentary, something. He has the niche that dawkins or hitchens can't fill, he puts it in laymans terms and appeals to the masses without seeming superior in his convictions.

does anyone ever wonder what actual purpose sam harris serves in life? like exactly what is his objective?

Christians believe in the birth, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus....and sam harris doesn't? it's as simple as that!

he talks here of the "Gospels being written decades after". So what?

the history of Alexander the Great was written 700 YEARS after his life and it's taught as FACT in every world history course in every college in America!

so what is sam's issue with Christians?

Voices in your head is also not proof nor is a warm fuzz feeling u get when your in church all religions have this it only proves that people can feel at peace in all types of experiences like meditation or when listening to Mozart. I personally think it has to due with a brain state during these types of experience.

The bible is. If this was a valid way to debate their point then all religious textual claims would also be proofs of each religion. I found it funny that they would say stuff like Jesus did miracles in front of crowds, really please name one person in these crowds that wrote about him non did I mean he rose people from the dead and no one thought to question these people and write what they said down. How you can watch Sam Harris and still not see the delusion of religion is beyond me. I was one of these people and I almost get mad when I think of how my own questioning the world around me was stifled by my born again parents. The comments from the bible thumpers below show one they have done no research in to the historical aspect of the bible, and don't understand that what an extra biblical account is nor do they get that the writings in the bible can't be used in the argument in how true
