(SEASON 2008, EPISODE #03)
This is "Part Three" from the March, 2008 event!

THIS EPISODE: Part 3 shows some good teamwork when James tries to give Jake's disabled tank a push off a bridge under fire! Some interesting combat incidents at the "H*E*A*T Spring Open" in March, 2008 at the AAF Tank Museum in Danville, Virginia. See radio control 1/16th scale tank battles using "laser tag" devices!

We use radio frequency control in Danville...see this link to a photo:

  • does it shoot bbs?

  • @kasonthedude They shoot invisible Infra-Red light. Similar to a TV remote.

  • you should have suspended platforms for the drivers to see beter

  • @maxman1244 We have discussed that over the years. A catwalk to the middle of the field would make it easier to attack someone on the other side.

However, most guys like to kneel down at ground level to see the battle from the "tank commander's" point of view.

  • how long did it take u to build the corse

  • @ajcdturner It has been 7 years so far, and the battlefield is still not finished. But it was ready to use after only a few months of hard work by volunteers and museum staff.

  • @jacksonboywonder1996 Yes, absolutely. We are big-time tank nerds. Most of us are in our 30's and 40's, and grew up building model tanks alone in our basements! It's only since they invented laser tag combat that we discovered other guys with the same hobby. We are like kids!...with very expensive toys! Each tank system costs about $1,000.00.

Yes, we are nerds...much like the Trekkies I hang out with at Star Trek conventions. But it keeps us young...right Boy Wonder?!

    Join us some day!
