  • i really like how this movie doesn't take forever to tell you the characters, setting, and plot. i mean you learn about OZ in like 5 minutes, and you learn about Kenji, Natsuki, and King Kazma in another 5 minutes.

  • Haha, my sister kept on humming this today. XD We wached the movie today also becuase she got the DVD yesterday. Such a great movie! Definetly one of the best I've watched!

  • @colterknebel i imagine something like disney stuff....maybe even a kingdom hears battle !

  • @jodi106 dude, king kazma was introduced just by showing him fight.....i mean....that's how it's supposed to be done, not with 10 minutes of narration of him just standing there.

  • woah, hadn't realised, but it's very similar to candide. like. super-similar.

    must be on purpose.

it was a super cool movie!

  • I usually play this song on my mp3 player when I'm on the train to a con or something XD

  • @masterof60624 I understand your points about American movies, but this movie seemed to throw all that away, like how the characters acted and the emotions displayed, even in the beginning. I think this movie didn't have to take time with their characters, because you grow to like them without having to know everything about them.

  • My co-worker recently let me borrow this movie & let me say wow! Usually with such a large cast it's difficult to attach yourself to the characters. I must say that the writing, voice acting, and story are lovely. I was able to fall.in love with Kenji, Natsuki, and her entire family. I've watched it three times since I had it. I recommend this movie to.anyone who likes sci-fi and enjoys family bonding. Summer Wars is one of the greater movies to come out in a long while!

  • @happinesstrombone it borrows a blog???

  • @jodi106 I personally agree with you, but the movie made me realize that in American movies, a plot that goes that fast always gets criticized for not allowing the viewer to become attached to the characters- thus giving you no one to root for or a good enough reason why. Its a stupid argument that critics always have to bring up.

  • Best movie I've seen in a while since I watched My Neighbor Totoro as a kid and Castle in the Sky, Howl's Moving Castle, and Spirited Away. They're all Studio Ghibli films, but whatever. ^^

    *whispers* King, Kazma, BESTEST!!!*

  • @colterknebel My thoughts exactly! I can actually picture it in my head now that chase scene!
