We've shown you the Amish constructing the vineyard. Now you get to view the actual valiant grape vines being planted at the Breitenbach Wine Cellars vineyard at the gateway to Ohio's Amish Country. Winemaker Duke Bixler is the guy directing the digging of the holes. He said it's going to be five to six years before the vines will bear wine making grapes. Duke has officially named the vineyard "The Roadhouse Red Vineyard" after Breitenbach's signature red wine.

  • Soil looks too rich for grape vines

  • what are those little white packages put next to the vine before he finished filling the hole with topsoil. A fertilizer perhaps?
