Hey TB - great amp with all the upgrades you did. I think I hear the Wooden Ships chords? You just need Paul's Rick 12-string. That was my amp for about 5 years and I can attest to all the love and care going into the mods on that baby. Ah if only it sounded like that stock, I'd still have it today! I love the Alnico in there and thinking about getting it for my Vox AC-15. Nice job man!! We have to jam soon sir, yes we do!

CSN woodships no less

Honestly, put WGS ET65 on Fender amps. Not chinese stuff like Celestions. You'll see what it means...
-
wish you would have shown some of the break up sound.

Guys - I had a pair of of original blues in a Vox cab so know their potential. What are your views on fitting a new 15w blue into my current 22w '65 Deluxe Reverb?

Wooden Ships... Awesome job

Sorry about that so that pic is when the amp was using the altone 1250 ?
also how do you contact the tech who built your amp ive tried but cannot find him online?

Yes, I'm in the picture and put up these sample clips.
Thanks, hockey2204. They are great speakers and coupled with this amp, it really gives it up. It can growl pretty good too. One of these days I'm going to have to record that tone too.

Thanks spentonmediocrity and woodshome11. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I never get tired of the tone.

Has that unmistakable Alnico Blue sound. Funny how that speaker sounds like an old radio speaker. I thought so when I played it in my 57 Deluxe - looked it up and thats what it is! A replica of an old 50's speaker. Funny how the sound of the 50's can be so beautiful and most of the speakers today are junk. Nice sound here. Love the DRRI and the PRRI! Wish they had a 10" for my PRRI...

Thanks, Steve. I'm glad you enjoyed it. A 10" Blue would be very cool. I'd drop one in my rebuilt 1971 Princeton Reverb.

It's a rebuilt DRRI from 1999 with the rebuild taking place in 2004. Check my website for the full story.
