Let me guess: you people are arguing about Star Trek Tos vs. Star Trek (2009).

Of course the original cast had an unique charisma that nobody can replace. Shatner, Nimoy and Deforest Kelley were, and still are, irreplaceable. No matter how hard you try.
But the new Star Trek was not bad at all. I consider it a new start for a series that was dying. And I don't see it necessarily as a battle with the old series, even if they have interpretated the same characters.

Isn't this theme supposed to be played slower? or is it just PART V?

Damn straight bro, I understand Star Trek 2009 was a "back to basics" film, and why they used ToS theme instead, but please for the love of God use this at LEAST in the credits of the next film, Jerry deserves that much.

It WAS used in one part of Giacchino's end credits theme. When I heard it come in, I got a huge smile on my face
