Check out the 1st of our 4 part series where we take this stock 2011 Ford Mustang 3.7L V6 Automatic and turn it into the V6 we guarantee nobody will want to mess with! We'll be building this project car up in 4 Stages of modifications, so follow along...

Stage 1 Modifications:

• Airaid CAI/Bama Performance Tuner - http://muscle.am/paLpp5
• Pre-Painted Side Scoops - http://muscle.am/qRF7x1
• Pre-Painted Eleanor Louvers - http://muscle.am/qHLJgi
• Mustang Magnetic Deck Lid Blackout Panel - http://muscle.am/qLJw3n

Ford did a great job with this 2011 V6 Mustang. Not only does the car live up to the 305 horsepower rating, when we tested it out on our in-house Dynojet 224xLC, it responded very well to aftermarket modifications like the Airaid Cold Air Intake and Bama Performance Custom Tunes. We picked up as much as 22HP and 30TQ throughout the curve. Then, we headed to the track to see what the 1/4 mile results were. Stock, we laid down a 14.1 second pass, but with the cold air intake and Bama tunes, we were able to knock off over a half second, bringing our 1/4 mile ET down to 13.6! All of this with the stock 2.73 gear ratio, stock Automatic transmission and stock 17" all-season tires!

The car also looked much better than stock after we added a set of our Pre-Painted Eleanor Louvers for the 1/4 windows as well as Side Scoops and Mirror Covers - all in Race Red!

  • Although the gain is impressive on the 1/4 mile; they neglect to mention the difference in reaction time; first run was .451 and I think the second was .233

  • @jaykwa Reaction time is not figured into 1/4 mile time, it's just a measurement of how long it took the car to move from the time the light turned green? Either way, we gained what we gained, whether we sat on the line for the same amount of time or not.

  • when they did the 2nd run all the exterior crap wasn't there. wtf? maybe they realized those stick on vents are stupid

  • @wgshooter We wanted to test the performance gains, same day, same fuel, same track, same conditions, etc., so all of the track footage you see is from the same day. Hope that answers it!

  • Surprised the drive shaft didnt blow up on the dyno or drag...

  • @americanmusclevideos does the tune void factory warranty? If so, if I tune the vehicle and something goes wrong and then put factory settings up, can the dealer ever find out that I had tuned the vehicle in the past?

  • @yellowmusicfreak The 22HP gain was throughout the curve at certain points.

  • Um....I'm not sure how 260WHP+22HP=273WHP....

  • Although the gain is impressive on the 1/4 mile; they neglect to mention the difference in reaction time; first run was .451 and I think the second was .233
