This was filmed over 25 years ago with Robert Rothman aka, Robert Ruevain. He is also known as blues singer Chicago Babe. It was filmed by his friend and director John Strysik when they were both very young.

  • It was surprisingly true to the story, and the acting wasn't that bad. Really enjoyed it.

  • This is one of my very favorite Lovecraft stories. The film was very well done, too. It's hard to write music that can't be described. I'd rate 5 stars.

  • It's realy groovy!

    I like this film.

  • can you get the first part working? i would really like to see it

  • This shortstory always reminds me of a Song from the german Band Janus.. the song is called "Anita spielt Cello", and there's a Line in the Song that goes like this:

"Anita spielt täglich dem Teufel ein Lied und betet und fleht dafür, dass Gott nicht sieht, wie sehr sie hofft, dass es ihm gefällt."

"Every day Anita plays a Song for the Devil and prays and begs that God doesn't see, how much she hopes, that the Devil likes it."

  • I loved it. I was wondering how they were going to pull off what was outside the window.

Very well done for its time though. I only read this story last night. Enjoyable.

  • PHENOMENAL!

I am very impressed how well the story was translated to film.

  • Again, well done.
