Undergraduate researcher studying infectious disease

Microbiology major Lana Christensen is conducting original research in Jeff Leid's Biofilm Infectious Disease Lab, where she studies chronic rhinosinusitis, an inflammatory infection of the sinus tissue that affects one in every five people in the U.S. Her findings could change the way we treat chronic health issues. The student-athlete has shown an impressive ability to balance the demands of a collegiate athletic career with an active research project.
