Freaky Lady at Coldwater Ridge Visitor Center

Coldwater Ridge is a Visitor Center for Mount St. Helens. Sadly, the Center is scheduled to close in the Fall of 2007. The best reason to visit Coldwater Ridge is the Freaky Lady exhibit. FL is a forest ranger mannequin that has a video taped face of a real woman projected onto her white plastic face. It's sort of like the ghosts in Disneyland's Haunted Mansion -- but freakier.

From what I understand, it's a permanent closure due to lack of funding. I believe the forestry service currently oversees the visitor center and so far efforts to turn Mount St. Helens into a national park have failed.

What the hell. Was she born in GERMANY? IS she speaking the DEUTSCHE? I swear, when I listen to her on low volume, she is speaking GERMAN! I wonder if they will auction off Freaky Lady??
