One thing in life is for sure, you cant please everybody! And some peoples opinions are absolutely retarded! I love the anon youtube guitar experts who can not help but chime in that you played this wrong, or that wrong! There are many paths to the promise land, and for that I can assure you. You do a fantastic job as usual Greenie, definitely one of my favorite channels to check out for real guitar playing from a real guitar player. What you see is what you get with greenie, no fancy programs..

@JeszeeLaw well thanks, that was very nice of you to say. And I agree. I've lost a lot of weight so I'm thinking of redoing some of these videos as to lessen the "fatso" jokers. Not sure if you've heard my new tracking of Crazy Train with me on bass and guitar and Ozzy and his drummer doing the rest? Here's the link. I'm happy with how it turned out. I had done a video lesson on a DVD with another Rush song and Ozzy songs, but Limelight was not accurate in the least! I should redo it and re-release it. Thanks for the comments! To be compared to Lifeson envelopes my heart with flattery!

I was just out of high school when Moving Pictures released & Limelight has been my favorite Rush song since. The PROBLEM is that it always sucks me in so I can't really concentrate on the separate techniques of the artists, & I never really grasped the intricacy of what Lifeson is doing here. Seeing it this way, the original recording suppressed & the clear visuals of what the hands are doing gives me a newfound, even deeper respect for what went into this utterly perfect song. Keep at it, bro!

dont worry about haters. most people who play guitar do it because they enjoy it. if you are enjoying what you are doing and you make a video of yourself to show your friends then its great. guitar playing is self expression and appreciation of music, it isnt a competition sport. haters should spend more time practicing than hurting people who share a common bond for the love of the guitar.
