I'm looking at this and a Red Witch Fuzz God II. I like the FG2 because of the extra features and footswitch, but the Fuzz Gun seems to give more of the "destroyed" tone I'm after. Would you say the FG2 can pull off similar tones or not?

I look at this pedal, think it's great, consider buying it; but then I look at my fuzz factory, and realise it can create basically every tone any other fuzz can. Damn I love Z-Vex. :D (of course not the exact same, but very similar sounds).

Hey andy, can this pedal work on a bass as well?

Nice use of MJ!

Can this be powered with a 9v power supply?

Hash Pipe =D
I've got one of these and I can't for the life of me get it to oscillate with the volume knob the way that you're doing, even on all the same settings. Any suggestions? I'm using a Jazzmaster through the fuzzgun into a fender hotrod.

@ruarimacleod83 - You have it in oscillation mode, correct? Also, some fuzz pedals don't deal with buffered signals well, so if you have a buffered pedal in your signal chain before the Fuzz Gun, you might try moving it. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching.

@ProGuitarShopDemos so would fuzz pedals not do well if installed a buffer/preamp like a stratoblaster onboard into my guitar? what would be the effect? I figured it would even allow me to get more out of my fuzz and overdrive pedals by being able to drive them harder

@goldenmonkeycolor - It depends on the pedal, but with fuzz pedals you often will not get "more" out of them by driving them harder. Vintage-style fuzzes are especially prone to behaving badly with hotter signals.

this thing is awesome, it took me a few hours of playing with it to get the sounds I wanted though.
can anyone explain to me what the "bias" knob does more specifically than "it changes the character of the sound"?

It changes the voltage going to the output transistor, less voltage = dying battery sound.
