---------------
This is an unofficial music video, meaning that I made the video but I do not own the song, and the video is in no way endorsed by Sum 41 (which is the band that sang the song in this video).
So how did this video come about?
I was in Orchard for a fireworks show at night in Singapore, and looking at the city lights I really felt like making a video to show them. It took me a while to find the right song, because I wanted a song that blended with the mood of this video and a song that went well with the video. Forgive me if it sucks, cause I'm only 13! lol
I really wanted the video to look blurry and unfocused, as to tell the story through the eyes of a man who was teary eyed. Which is one reason why you never really see the person's face up closely.
I've noticed a lot of people tell me in the comments to tell me to buy a tripod. At first, I asked my brother (who was filming most of the scenes) to try not to shake too much, but he shaked a lot and I only noticed it when I was editing the video. I wanted to take reshoots but finally decided that it was actually better to keep the shaky footage in order to keep the dream-like state of mind, and that it would be better leave it alone.
What's amazing about this video is that I made it completely by myself (with a little help from my brother and my friends, who helped me record some parts of the video using my camera). That means the editing and the raw planning of the video was done entirely by me, using a Sony Camcorder and home based editing software, and I'm surprised at how the video turned out to be like, since the video was a product of my imagination and also my boredom.
The Facebook messages you see in this video at 1:04 were actually real messages sent to me by one of my friends, and not messages I sent to myself our made up or planned. However, her name isn't actually 'Kathy Sng' as depicted in the video. I used javascript to change the name of the sender (though I wish I hadn't), because I do not think she would appreciate it if I left her name in my video without her consent.
NOTE: The song partially used in this video is 'Pieces', by a band called Sum 41.
CREDITS
I made the whole video, and my brother and a friend helped me record parts of the video where I walk.

Message I received from FastEddieHunt:
"In 1989 I moved from Canada to Singapore. I was 12 then. I did 2 years at UWCSEA and lived on Oxley Rd, which runs between Orchard and River Valley.
As a 13/14 year old I spent a lot of nights alone (and with friends) wandering Orchard Rd. Your video reminded me of those times - good times. Times of introspection, learning who I was, who I would be. Presumably you are in somewhat of the same situation. Enjoy it; I've had an awesome life so far (more adventure than most people have in a lifetime), but those two years in Singapore are still some of the absolutely best times I've had.
I just wanted to say thanks for the trip down memory lane. Hope things are good for you in the S-Dot.
Sincerely, Ed Hunt."

Thanks ED:)
Nice video. Just sad that you can see it's handhold camera with the effects. It doesn't really fit together. But still really good job.
