I AM SO STUPID. I had two bunearys in the day care and they had an egg. It hatched. It was the first egg from the bunearys and it took no effort from me whatsoever. It was a shiney buneary!!! THE VERY FIRST TRY!!! No chaining, or cheats. The very first one. It was a boy. I thought, "But it has pink fluff. I don't want it" I released it. Here I am, about 2 years later, realizing, maybe it was a shiny pokemon? I search "shiney buneary" on google, see a picture... I kill myself.

@Lila182 yeah. Shiny Pokemon might not have any major differences aside from their color scheme, but they are quite rare.

I got a Buneary in Pokemon Diamond as well, it's actually my favorite pokemon to level up, even though all of them level up but a shiny pokemon? I haven't gotten any of them yet.

what's so special about a pink buneary? i found and caught one but is that it? its just shiny/limited ed., no special moves/abilities?

I managed to find a Shiny Eevee...I then evolved it into Shiny Glaceon. Twas' the most awesome thing ever.

Most boys wouldnt get a Buneary because "they are for girls". I am a boy, and I got one in Diamond, and they rock, cuz they can learn nearly ANY move! I taught mine Ice Beam, Dig, and Thunderbolt.

To smarties0129, yes, when a shiny Pokemon evloves, it will still be shiny, no matter what.
