I forgot to tie the end wire around it self and when I pulled the fence it twisted the fence post in the ground. No loss as I have to go back and put in a bigger post lator to make the opening 16feet to fit a haybine through it.

  • lol the horses are smarter then the master. Its funny that the horse get out with a electric fence

  • @photosbychristensen They can tell whem its not working and before you know it they will get out if you don't check the fence every few days

  • Man up buy a fence stretcher, using a tractor you will over stretch the wire. They only cost about thirty dollars. Also if you want to learn how to build fence there are some good professionals on here that show you how.

  • @Conager415 You need two people when using a tractor to stretch a wire fence. You can go buy one if you want , but I hope I never have to put anymore pagwire fence up again.

  • I can see why your horses were getting out, it was not because you were using electric, it was the kind of unmaintained electric you were using. Your field fence is will on solve the problem as long a you maintain it, an will actually be a danger to your horses. I know I have had to put several horses down because of field fencing. It is second only, next to barb wire in danger to horses. Good luck. Try maintaining your fence you might have better luck.

  • @Conager415 If you have horses then you know that there is always one horse that dose not care if the electric fence is on or not. This is not my first choice of fencing but it was the cheapest for now.

  • At the moment I only have two horses, but until recently I had 20, never had the horses get out of the electric because I kept it up. I do not use that tape, the worse stuff in the world as far as I am concerned. I only use 121/2 gauge wire and keep at least 6000 volts running thru it. That is the cheapest wire at roughly 100 dollars per 4000 ft. the wire you used was probably 300 for 300 ft.
