The eastbound Cardinal passes the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway Heritage Center in Clifton Forge, VA. This edition of the Cardinal on Sunday March 28, 2010 has three locomotives. It normally has one, and the horizon fleet car and private cars are a rarity as well. Enjoy!
Two of the locos were dead in tow because of the derailment outside of Chicago and Pittsburg on NS. The capital Limited, and another train was canceled. The locos were just catching a ride to DC so they can be on that end to go back. The extra Horizon was also for that reason. The 2 private cars are owned my the Collis P Huntington Railroad Historical Society and were on their way to washington for the Spring washington trip. The rest of the train was fully packed that day.

I guess 2 of those P42DCs were going to Washington DC because they need them. Idk.
