A friend of mine asked me to try my hand at making a music video for his lego stop motion animation video of "The Blue Crystal". This is the result. It was quite the challenge indeed and it took some time to complete. I did take some liberties with the original video edit made by J3P Films and you can find it here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_kUMiVHFmIo

The amount of time and energy that goes into stop motion film animation is vast!..and I don't even pretend to know how to do it so my hat's off to Jack for such an endeavor.

I want to thank Jack at J3P films for sending the original edit and allowing me to create this tribute.

The song used was "Devour" preformed by "Shinedown"

  • My dear friend and mentor....if this doesn't prove that you are a genuine master...I don't know what would....this tribute was clearly beyond painstaking....the power of editing is aptly displayed here....you are the king of the liquid edit..smooth as glass...I'm a bit more rocky road...lol.....outstanding vision, as always!

  • LOL....Thank you so much....It was painstaking to complete but not as much as the original film was to make...I wouldn't want to undertake such a project like that..Jack did a fantastic job...the more videos I see the more I realize everyone has a unique editing style...I thing I like your so much because it's different than most....truly outstanding.

  • Wow. Amazing! A film I wrote and music from one of my fave bands :D perfect!!!! :D :D brilliant, great job :D

  • @darkstarkc99 Well the original story and script were by a guy called Nick Perrin and Patrick here adapted it!

  • @darkstarkc99 More than welcome, Trevor!!

  • Thanks so very much :) I'm very happy you enjoyed it.

  • LOL....I guess you liked it then....lol..I'm so happy :)) I had a lot of fun making it. Every video I make, I usually learn something about the editing process. But for this one I learned a lot, especially "Masking". OH!.... and thanks for mentioning the special effects. I Never know if they will catch the viewers eye or pass them by completely. :)
