i realize this was posted a year ago but I just wanted to say that mainstream popularity isn't necessarily a good measuring stick for how good a band is. Don't get me wrong I'm a fan of both KOL and Coheed but just because it's "popular" doesn't mean it has any artistic merit. Luckily that's not the case for Kings of Leon lol. But yea they're two totally different styled bands and you can't really compare em.
