Ed Robertson makes my heart melt. OK, all of me melts.

"Ed took a flying leap, and sang What A Good Boy in the past few shows. I couldn't believe how familiar it felt to play it, and to see people in the audience sing it back at us. It revealed to me just how much that song continues to resonate with me, my band, and the fans. And if it's played with the spirit in which it was created, it allows the song to live, and grow, and reflect on experiences that Steve and Ed might never of imagined when they put it together." - Jim Creeggan

  • Ed does a pretty decent cover of what I consider to be a "Steve Song". Good but...different. I'm still 'feeling out the new sound'.

Tempted to catch the show up in IA this month, if I can find out more details. (& bugging "BradmanTV" to snag an interview w/ them!)

almost impossible to WATCH this without Dramamine tho. were u backing up for a long shot? I gave up looking at the screen for a minute. Then were u trying to get the stage w/o the big guy/kids balloon sword fighting in front?

  • sorry, I was recording more for the sound, and not watching what I recording, since this was my first live bnl show, I was in awe actually watching them.

I considered it a Steve song, but then again, more than half of their songs are Steve songs... The Ladies do a phenomenal job recreating the songs to fit their new status. And Ed's wailing, just as powerful as Steve's.

  • Ed's tremendously talented....but hearing him singing "Steve" songs just brings home to me what an amazing voice Steve has.

I saw Steve perform this solo last week and he sounded terrific, but I missed Kev's keyboards. Guess we need to get used to the dueling versions. Now I know how my mom felt when the Beatles broke up....

  • I'll never really be comfortable with the songs that are so strongly identified with Steven being performed by *anyone* other than Steven. Life moves on and that is fine ... but these are totally different songs when performed by Ed ... and he just doesn't sound like Steven. Equally talented, different styles. Steven is still missed.

  • just enjoy the show next time, no video please

  • It is refreshing even to hear Ed sing this song. And he says he can't sing as high as Steve...

  • Yeah it doesnt compare to Steves version, because Eds version is way better.

  • It is such a great song! Ed does well but it doesn't compare to Steve's version!

  • Its so dick that they booted Steve from the band. I LOVE BNL, saw them live, and frankly, the driving force of them WAS Steve. Ed is too relaxed to be a good lead man on his own. he just stands there and Jams. it was Steve running around rocking out, and ya need that for a good show. It sucks without him.

  • I love What A Good Boy when Steve sings it and I love it every bit as much now with Ed taking the lead.

  • wow...Ed should stop singing this song...he sounds like a bad cover ......ouch
