Virginia Beach claimed $10 million in damages to its 17-mile coast. But the beach did not sustain as much erosion as it might have a decade ago because the city added 4 million cubic yards of sand in 2001 — the equivalent of a line of dump trucks stretching from Virginia Beach to Denver.

In Oz, when lights are out, regular intersection rules are meant to apply: "give way to your right" (probably "yield to your left" in US), though on major thoroughfares, the larger volume of traffic continues to take right-of-way and the side streets are left taking risks to get out!

wow people can't drive down there, your suppose to treat a flashing or blank stoplight like a 4-way stop sign, i dont know the law in Virgina but im sure its the same

Okay.

Yeah, indeed. I was driving to school one day and the lights were blacked-out like in your vid, so I just went with the flow. People were orderly, for the most part.
