Update: It's been almost a year since I uploaded this and I have since been working in Logic and am a lot better at just about everything. As this video seems to have garnered more interest than any of my others I have decided to mix up this channel a little and cover a bit more than classical music.
Just a bit of fun mixing a few things together in Logic.
The track includes the following:
Bésame Mucho - Marta Mirska
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3BwFBOhnktE
La Cumparsita - Juan Vicari y su Genial Orquesta
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EgGLc11DlAM
Chim-Chim Cheree Improvisation - User OrganicVeggieLoaf
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSbYXlNY0Qw
The voices are from the film 'Rain' (1932) directed by Lewis Milestone.

Those links will take you to the exact recordings that I used for this. Unfortunately, because I downloaded the audio from Youtube and because two of these were recorded over half a century ago, the audio quality suffers. I did my best to EQ out the distortion and master the result but this is the first thing I have made with Logic and I am far from a proficient user.
The videos included feature Fred Astaire & Ginger Rogers the legendary dance couple - I'll dedicate this to them out of respect. I have sped up the sequences to fit the music from around 60% - 70%.
The colour video is taken from the film 'Blue Skies' (1946) and the black and white sequences from 'Top Hat' (1935).
Anyway this is just a bit of fun until I am ready to upload some more piano works. Enjoy!

Actually, the hissing noises add to the beauty of the track, they give the finished track a special charm. I really love this style of mixing up old classical music with lounge and down tempo beats. I was thinking about starting my own internet radio station and since your song is that good, I would like to play it if that's ok with you. Let me know what you think, thanks! Awesome job!

@Terratonific Well thanks for the compliments, my stuff is a lot better these days I don't know what it is about this video that beats out my others so much lol! Still I agree entirely with your thoughts on the artefacts only that these are usually treated so that they actually feature in a positive way, I'm glad you think they do in this! If you like this kind of music and you haven't already then you should explore 'electroswing' like this - watch?v=xgtdETevhUY and watch?v=MS_CLIF1h-o

@Terratonific The radio idea is brilliant, though I'd worry it's already been done. Of course you can use my track, as far as I'm concerned anyone can use it as long as they give me a mention. The only problem you'd face is sample rights, I mean I can tell you now that I own none of the rights to anything I've used. This sort of scene is getting larger and larger, I just saw these folks not all that long ago watch?v=NGebmvnR158 and there's these originals along the same vein watch?v=1LL3Gylh5LM
