  • Wish you showed her moving under steam instead of the music!

  • @rbd3985 No kidding... I wish I had more video too. I can't believe, even to this day I did not get more video of the train moving. The video ends where the music starts so I added several still images I also took on different days to the end of this video.

  • Thanks for the information. I made the up0date. I hope to see it running again soon. I will try to capture some better video.

  • 786 is currently in Alabama in 2 main sections. Boiler at Historic Machinery Steele, Alabama and has completed rebuild. Outside boiler tube, frame, drivers & saddle castings are being fitted at Steam Operations Corp in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. The plan is to get boiler and frame tube on the frame with drivers and saddle casting aligned before shipping back to Austin for another years worth of rebuilding. As usual $ often limits progress. See pointech.com/786/

  • That steam engine (SP 786) has been "getting fixed" for over 11 years now. They keep saying "by next year", but I'm starting to wonder if it will ever come back.

  • it wasnt shut down the locomotive is being refurbished

  • Man! i remember this locomotive around the 90's it was in a small kid train movie.
