In this video, we'll discuss the operation and differences between multicasts, broadcasts, and unicasts, and how each is used in today's networks.

When you're done watching my YouTube CCNA / CCNP videos, be sure to visit http://www.thebryantadvantage.com/Tutorials.htm for over 250 free Cisco certification videos, fully-illustrated tutorials, practice exams, and more! Also, look for daily practice exam questions on my blog and the daily newsletter!

  • rip v 1 broadcast is : 255.255.255.255 (all bits on) rip v 2 multicast : 224.0.0.9 multicast = class D (224-239)

  • no..255.255.255.255
