This is a song that came into my head recently, when I was out shopping with my nearest and dearest, including the opening line: "I've been on this island for so long now..." Hope you like it.

@bunchie1966 You still remind me of him. You're right though, once you get familiar with his trumpet style and his singing they both sound very similar!

@cardwell Just listened to 'My Funny Valentine'. I see what you mean, but I can only wish I sang like that. He uses his voice like a musical instrument.

I really like this... i always enjoy your melodic 70's sounding songs ! Love the Major 7ths, nice laid back sax solo too. If you haven't already done so, you should make an album. Gary t.

@gazzymodo Thanks so much. I seem to have missed your comment. I am hoping to make an album this year. The thing is, no matter how many times I record a song, I am never satisfied with it and feel I should have done it differently or could have done it better. So I will have to be firm with myself.
