I met a few partners on the weekend (See my YTAG video).
They can make a few thousand dollars with some of their vids.
Even if you only make a few dollars, that can turn into savings for the grandkids.
Oh and please don't compare yourself to other tubers. You're a vlogger and people watch you because you're a nice person.
I think something is lost when people focus only of the views and subscriber numbers or having to put up a video within a timeframe.

You should get to the dentist more often. You should try for the partnership. I am glad I did it, it does not make you a ton of money but the spare change I get is nice :)

Don't get offended if they still don't accept you. I've heard many people get those emails and then get rejected.
Also they sometimes now reach out to monetize certain videos instead of an entire account.

I say go for it. There's really no downside to speak of. Actually the part I love the best is being able to insert my own thumbnails. (I use a screen capture program) There's also AutoPlay and banners. I've never even made a banner, LOL. And ya, once in a great while you'll get a few bucks. But you never know when you might make another video that gets quite a few views. You might be driving past Tiger Woods house and film him getting hit in the face with a golf club or something, LOL.
