  • @Skytroop Taht should read "While this is Important,..." not "Why this is important."

  • All I am hearing here is a sales pitch based on the knurling on dart barrels. why this is important I expected something different. To me "grip" means how one holds a dart. I modified my grip recently and within 15 minutes went from throwing darts all over the 5, 20 and 1 beds to throwing 100's 140's and one 180. It feels awkward but I am going to make it natural throw constant practice. Improving your darts takes work.

  • I was gripping the dart as I "would naturally and developed a tendency for my darts to lie with the stems and flights to the right. moreover there was a tendency for them to oscillate in yaw. I took John Lowe's advice and it corrected the problem but now its a matter of practicing until the new form "becomes" kinesthetic i.e. natural.

  • John Lowe "The Art of Darts" p. 12 "I believe that the grip in darts is just as important as the Vardon grip in golf. If you hold and grip the dart in the correct way it will mean other parts of your ser-up, pa...rticularly the throw, will automatically adjust in the correct way."

  • what do you think about shark grips?

    thanks!

also, do grips loose their grip? i'm guessing sharp edges/points tend to dull in time...
