  • Wanda has a voice like no other - one of the greatest Marvelette songs.

  • I Agree she does,

but i wouldnt call it one of the greatest marvelettes songs as wanda was the only marvelette on this record! Thanks ;)

  • Another great song and post!!! These two songs are also in the must have collection for a Marvelette collection "tonight was made for love " and The truth's outside my door ""

  • Yes i LOVE this night was made for love!

and the truths outside my door!

will try and have them up soon!

  • Magique Marvelettes....

  • Love this song. Wanda has one of the most amazing voices. pigmonkeyandsuzi is right though, Kim's version is a little better.

  • @pigmonkeyandsuzi who cares, enjoy the song

  • kim weston's unreleased version is much better, more soulful. But this is still good in it's own right.

  • @dvlaries Just saw this comment tonight and all I could say was- I COULN'T have said it better! You really summed up what I love about this song and Wanda's delivery incredibly well. Sometimes it's like that- you have a feeling, but it takes someone else to put it into words.

  • Is the album "In Full Bloom" available anywhere?

  • I'm getting a woody.

  • What a beautiful song.

  • This was the Marvelettes next-to-last single, released on November 3, 1970-

  • I missed this when it was brand new in '70, and didn't hear it till I bought the yellow-covered Anthology set in '75. I loved it immediately. It's story has Wanda delivering an "I told you so," to another woman, but she's not doing it with malicious glee, but like someone who made the same mistakes in love, and suffered the same burn. Painful experience, in other words. That Wanda was performing so well so late deepens our regret that we didn't have her fine voice again in the following decades
