MHP2G/MHFU: The Great Decisive Battle, 7:55

This is a not overly serious run on the Great Decisive Battle quest, Terra/Red Shogun Ceanataur and Shogun Ceanataur. The quest was cleared in 7:55, though it wasn't a proper speed run. This was recorded after a request from a subscriber.

I'm using Speed Fire, it's an armour skill that means I don't have to reload until I switch ammo. My gear is shown at the end of the clip.

I de-activated Heroics after a while because I prefer fighting without it, and I'd done enough damage to finish the quest with my remaining ammo.

The music is Vicarious by Tool from the album 10,000 days. I do not own the rights to it in any way, shape or form. I've also used samples from Tool's Intermission and Arch Enemy's I Am Legend/Out for Blood - and of course I don't own the rights to them either.

whenever i fight the shogun ceanataur he only does one of two things: digs, and hops up on the ceiling and just sits there. is there any way to make sure that he stays... hitable?

@TheNarganator Sadly, not really. Dig spamming is annoying for sure, but if he decides to dig a lot there's little you can do besides killing it faster. At least on the roof yo ucan still shoot it :)

@mazereon Hey I am getting Unite soon I am wondering if you think I will have any trouble with it I play tri at the moment i am fairly skilled i know hr doesnt mean skill but i am 150+ Do you think there will alot of troubles for me?

@biojujuZ33 Many people find Unite harder than Tri, but if you've been playing long enough to get to HR150 you should understand how the game works pretty well. Once you pick it up you should be fine.

You've gotta use Lateralus in a Rajang or Lao quest.

And yeah, I was already at the High Rank Nehkot, and stuck with Elegy of Lone Wolf quest. I was a blademaster, and now I'm relying on Gunner to beat that stupid Garuga for me. I've observed that they are pretty good at being defensive and dodges so I decided to try them, and soon I felt like they were the true weapons I wanted to use. Can I have a good guide for Garuga btw?

nice, I thought Shoguns are the hardest to gun, I was practicing Heavy Bowguns, I tried the "Laurel, Please"(downloadable quest) with Daora's Delphinidae. I didn't use a single First Aid Med in the first 2 monsters, but the moment Shogun came, I was completely drained and even lost the quest o.o......

@mazereon alas, i cannot. i use dual swords, and he will sit o the ceiling for ages, when ever i try to gun him i get comboed and i die (i suck with gun)
