@greatestxgift i'm 19, but anyways. yes, the genre was around before dashboard confessional, hence why i said one of the original, and not THE original. emo as we know it today is different from the mid 80's emo, in the context i used it in it was correct.

@JustABSide Dashboard Confessional were not considered one of the original "emo" bands at all. Original emo had been around for over a decade before Dashboard was ever around. Where you little kids get your information from?
