I was always told this was the "Miracle Bush" and was good for a natural insect repellant. But on further research I found out why this is called the Miracle Bush. Also known as the Southern Bayberry, Wax Myrtle, or the Southern Wax Myrtle. Check out the upcoming video by Green Deane from EatTheWeeds.com and he will tell you alot more than I can.

  • From what I understand it can grow in just about any invironment, it is very adaptable. It reisdes from South America to parts of Delaware and has been cultivated as far north as southern Connecticut. Its a pretty versitle plant. Check out wikipedia's southern wax myrtle for more.
