After Action review of the FNX-9mm
I shot 200 rounds of Winchester One hundred fifteen grain full metal jacket.
First thing I noticed was the gun was shooting low, almost 10 inches low.
Although I read all the problems people were having aiming it,
and I heard people say it was because of the combat sights.
After about 100 rounds, I was able to find the right sight picture,
What I found to work was if you aim your front sight dot on the target
and lined it up a little above the rear sight dots it would shoot where I wanted it.
by the end of the night, I could put a whole clip, double action first round and all into the target at ten yards.
At the end of one of my magazines, I had a misfed round that didn't go into the chamber all the way.
I pulled the slide back, the round fell in and I was able to fire that round without a problem.
One other problem I had was a tactical reload. The empty magazine would not eject from the gun on its own.
Upon returning home, I cleaned the gun and cleaned where the magazine locks into the grip itself
and that fixed the problem.
I am not sure why that did it, but it slightly disturbs me knowing that a little dirt kept me from doing a real,
tactical reload.
The gun had a very smooth trigger pull, both double action and single action.
The double action was lighter than I expected and the single action was shorter than I expected.
I am not sure if I am the only one with this problem, but on the Walther P99, the trigger always bites my finger
when I pull the trigger.
The trigger on this gun was very clean, and comfortable and I did not have the same problem.
The recoil on the gun was easy to control and easy to reset back to target.
Compared to the Walther p99, I was able to control the gun better and the recoil did not feel as hard in my hand.
Overall I am very pleased with this gun, and I am looking forward to shooting it more.
@Red9Man763 Always clean the gun if it's brand new to get the factory oils and preservatives out and make sure there's nothing in the gun. Then just clean after every time you shoot and you should be good

hi, question, did you do a pre clean prior to shooting?

No problems at all with my fnx. Shot about 450 rds. Flawless ! Almost every kind of ammo even tulammo worked very well but dirty as hell. Downside...finding a holster.
