Hey, My Female Crestie (fireball) Started doing this today. That noise doesnt mean that the crestie is hurt , That is their mateing call. When your touch her and she does that it means that she thinks you want to mate. My Gecko was just doing that today. I am really an expert on reptiles and i have been looking up research about them for years. Just saying to the people who thinks she is hering her crestie. - Kassie

Do they make that sound if you touch their side? They may think that they are about to get squished.

My baby crested gecko does this sound, does it mean for sure that he is grumpy?? because i havent taken him out for a while because i went on a 2 week trip and my grandma didnt want to touch him. plz help i need to know what that sound is.

@reininghorses57 I have to of these types of geckos.....u need to pick them u and hold them in their cage and let them crawl all over ur hand. it will take a while but they will get used to u!

can you help me? i have a skunk gecko, and i am afraid that he will jump out of his cage when i am feeding him or something. Any tips on how to tame him? He will ocasionally let me pet him, but that is it.
Do Crested geckos make a different sound when they are not mad or grumpy?

she is probably sore on the back of her neck because that's where the male bites when they breed
