Chevron Human Energy Stories: http://www.chevron.com/stories/energy.story/allstories/steamflooding/ - After more than a century of oil production, the Kern River Field in California is still pumping oil, thanks to Chevron and its steamflooding energy solution. We put high-pressure steam into reservoirs to reduce the oil's viscosity and then pump it out of the ground.

  • This is awesome. I wish this technology would come to Illinois and help out our production in Crawford county.

  • With oil at close to 90$ a barrel it is now economically viable to extract every last drop out of the old fields.

___That's good ...But my comment is : beyond the action of "steamflooding" ,the direct point from the earth surface towards down the oil trap, is necessary ,avoiding the isolant rock layers ....that's my great speciality, that means competence beyond human force.
