@huddleout I think it's Al Hirt on trumpet. The vibrato and the clearness of the notes sound like Al.

Seems that no matter what is happening in my life, there is a song that fits it perfectly. This one fits to a tee what is happening right now.

1963...seems like an eternity ago! The 60's were the best years of my life...loved this song! Thanks for sharing it.

Great trumpet solo backing her here. By '63 her voice and style had matured and this hit was the result.

The trumpet in this song makes this song and the trumpet artist should be commended for the trumpet is a perfect piece for talking back as to say this is my statement in Losing You. Good singer to perform this song and actually to me I didn't know this song even existed until I heard it on a local oldies radio station.

@TheAnn1948 I have long thought that 1963 was the best year for popular music -- such a diversity of songs of every genre. A brief calm between the frenzy of Elvis and The Beatles. Brenda Lee was well established by then but was still only 18 when she made this and toward the end of her pop career. I think her most beautiful and heartfelt song, and the emotion is as real now as it was nearly a half century ago. A little gem from a past we can recall in an instant.
