@katsumoto62 Come on u guys..remember this is the same style...the senseis of jka and the senseis of kwf had the same masters..Funakoshi and Nakayama and they all trained together...the split is just politics. Ogata just visited the dojo im training in..trained with us for one month, all respect to shane ,but I promise u it wouldent be an easy match. Its like beeing hit by a mountain. Peace out.

@timmyz55 In case you didnt know, I was competing for South Africa at that tournament, and Sensei Shane caused minor internal bleeding on Kawasaki with that kick, if you had been there, you would have seen Sensei Kawasaki doubled over for at least half an hour after the fight. Stop being so ignorant and commenting on what you clearly know little about.

It seems like KWF has more well rounded competitors because shane won both kata and kumite. I do think that JKA has cleaner techniques but that KWF is more realistic. I like them both equally but they have their pros and cons for sure.

scoring techniques? wtf? a fight isn't necessarily won by the person who lands the most... it's the one who lands the effective punches. touching people doesn't count as effective.

KWF inferior to JKA???
Is this a joke??
Can be inferior as organization, but has a better Karate, REAL Karate. JKA today is just money, politics.
Shane Dorman is far superior in tecnicque than the actual JKA World Champion Ogata.
It would be a easy fight for Shane.

KWF is inferior to JKA. Shane wouldnt have gotten very far in a JKA tournament. His scoring techniques were weak.
