Since 1919 there have been men in our history (Alexander Mitchell Palmer, Joseph MCcarthy, J.Edger Hoover, Ronald Reagan) who frieghtened the American Public into complacency and misused their political power ( deporting American residents,blacklisting celebrities, wire tapping, financing Coup d'états ) All in the name of stopping the expansion, infiltration, and or invasion of the  Evil Empire. This Evil Empire was so greatly armed, organized and powerful that it went broke on 11-9-89

It wasn't near as big a threat as we were told.

during wwii the soviets and china were our allies then right after we became collossal enemies. the key reason why was wwi was the trump card in ending the great depression so they created a war economy to a different scale than metal gear solid 4 story line. so they created a false war to create economic stability that fell apart in the 80s due to soviets being non capitalism and reagan being an outsoucer like bush jr..
