Right after the Califonia NASCAR race Robby Gordon and his Team Dakar USA spent some time in the Southern Californian sand dunes testing both the Monster Energy/Toyo Tires and Ronn Bailey's Vanguard Hummers. The test was in preparation for the April 19th-26th Dakar Series Central Europe Rally which is a make up event for the canceled 2008 Dakar Rally - which was postponed due to terrorist threats from the Al Queda faction in Mauritania.

  • Did you see his face when he was driving? Looked like he was driving a fuckin car.

  • you cant fuck with a touraeg

  • touraeg tdi for the win.

  • RWD, mud and snow not a good combination...

  • Hope I'll get to meet up with you guys here.. I'm sure you're well informed, but anyway, the soil here is really rough, so there's no sand.. and it's been raining for like.. ages.. for a month at least with 2 or 3 sunny days.

Make sure you bring some Monster stuff for me to buy :->.. You guys are probably in Hungary now :P GOOD LUCK!!

  • Saw you guys on the way home from Glamis. That's a sick setup, I want a ride.

  • "GAS ON" Robby...Kick Ass!

  • OBEY YOUR MASTER! MASTER!

    METALLICA!!! Way to go Robby.

  • Good Luck RG!

  • Just to clarify, the Dakar Series was created as a companion series to the actual Dakar Rally, and was to start in 2009. But because the 2008 Dakar was cancelled, they moved the Dakar Series forward to take its place. Because it is an ongoing series, and not a single event like Dakar, we'll have to see if many familiar faces can return. Of course, 2009 Dakar Rally will be in South America. Hopefully, nothing goes wrong there.

    Anyways, GO ROBBY GORDON!!!
