*** About the Walk For Liberty
What are you willing to do for freedom?
Vote? Protest? Participate in a rally? Walk all the way across the country?
We are.
This summer, a group of activists will be walking across America to achieve more freedom and liberty.
Our pioneer forefathers trekked across the continent from the east to the west to find a better life for themselves. This time, we're doing it in reverse.
I am walking coast-to-coast across the country, from Oregon to New Hampshire. I am joined by my immediate family as well. We're on a quest to gain more freedom for ourselves and for our country by spreading the message of freedom and liberty along the way.
Why are we doing this?
We see the gradual chipping away at freedoms in America, and want to do our part to stop it. My wife and I are moving to New Hampshire as part of the Free State Project. New Hampshire is already the freest state in the country, which is why we are moving there. But we also want to help bring more freedom to as many other people as possible.
Therefore we are walking across America to get to New Hampshire. We are walking all the way there to bring as much media attention and publicity as possible to two liberty-oriented causes: the Free State Project, which is working to make New Hampshire even more free, and Ron Paul's message of freedom for everyone. Well i will tell you why and its only common sense!!! so they dont get hit you fucken retard and by the way i know for a fact that cops do not have a "quota" its a myth dumb ass. I have a idea for you, why dont you move to another country if you dont like this one.

Clearly, based on your philosophy, that telephone truck at 4:00 should have just gone home and not dealt with the problem because OMG...*insert whiny voice* he made it dangerous parking there. LAWD JEEBUS....a 6 minute tirade over cops stopping speeders and parking so they don't get run over...WE GET THE POINT.....YOU HATE COPS....GET OVER IT.

It was for a expired license, which the officer only gave since the guy drove and the officer wanted him to now go get his license renewed. If he does that the ticket is waved in court. In 4 of the stops for speeding the suspect was doing close to 15 over and the officer didn't ticket them cause he didn't want to ruin there holiday weekend. Seems to me at the least these two officers cared about a little more than gererating revenue. They seemed they just wanted to keep others safe.

I have an idea for you, got to your city office and find out much of the buget is spend on the police, EMS, and fire department. I found here it was 96 percent. Is there enough money in there, no absolutly not. But what are you suppose to do. Times are bad. but the majority of the budget is spent on emegency equipment and personal. On the two ride alongs I went on, a total of 16 hours of work I only witnessed one ticket in 8 stops.

(2) Explain it to me why cops swear an oath to the Constitution, but then deliberately violate that oath, nearly daily? If they're of the executive branch of government, why run them through the civil courts? If any of our military were found to break their oath, they're run through the court-martial proceedings, so why not cops? I rather see cops only carry weapons the people themselves typically carry on a daily basis. "If we don't carry it, then neither can cops."
Weapon01 2 years ago
(1) I don't mind cops having guns, just so long as the People, you me and 300 million others, retain the right to have those same guns.
I don't mind Cops having AR15's, just so long as we both pay $900-1500 per rifle.
I do mind (a lot) unconstitutional federal-laws granting LEO/Military special privileges, to possess machine-guns at a retail price while I pay the 86' ban price. Not to mention they just print the money to obtain, what I have to work two years to afford for myself.
Weapon01 2 years ago
so you would rather law enforcement carry only sidearms, no armor, no taser, no OC, no baton no shotgun, no AR?? then when barricaded suspect incidents arise, how do you expect police to deal with them?? I see from your vlog that you support an armed society and i agree, as do most of my friends in law enforcement. they use the equipment that they have to deal with the threats that they are presented with.
gadget445 2 years ago
hey kartkid, thanks for correcting public misperception of law enforcement!!
gadget445 2 years ago
brilliant comment, however do not address this to the police, instead go to the state or local government that cuts police budgets year after year. if they spent less on cute but useless public beautification projects and more on police, there would be less need to generate revenue with tickets (there isnt much need where i live so the cops are pretty lax anyway)

No dog fouling? Why would I do that to a poor innocent dog?

Now as far as carring guns and clubs, I don't see anything wrong with that. They arn't forcing you to hand over your money. If you don't feel you commitied a crime, you can fight it. If you did commit a crime, its your fault. To serve and protect is a modo. Try reading a mission statement. That might tell you more. Plus I don't understand how pulling people over and giving them tickets underminds this modo.

Yes police know their radar guns, like any technology can function improporly. This is why you can request to have it checked for accuracy. They do care about the margin of error. most radar guns can have a plus or minus 7 mph to them, so cops won't pull over people that come up with in this. Laser is more accurate. Like plus or minus 3 mph. And yes, why wouldn't a speeding ticket make someone a better driver. They slow down, they spread the word to others who will in turn slow down.
Kartkid024 3 years ago
also, why is it that you think someone MUST be out there with guns and clubs forcing people to hand their money to the state? that seems like a pretty huge perversion of safety to me. well, really it's a perversion of culture. but i won't get into that right now.
just wanted to point out that it is NOT necessary to generate revenue for the state or the police department through force. it directly undermines the police's stated purpose- to serve and protect the citizens.
intrepgun 3 years ago
but the police are also provided equipment [radar guns] that simply don't function as they are told. it's far more common than one would think to get false readouts from one of those. too many variables. cops aren't [usually] scientists, so they don't care about the margin of error. they're waiting for the action [some times].
the question is, does ticketing someone for speeding in any way make them a safer driver, passenger, or pedestrian? no. so ticketing is solely for money.
intrepgun 3 years ago
yeah, this is true. But it's not like their pulling over random people and giving them made up tickets. I don't know to many people that didn't deserve the tickets. I mean they are there to make revenue (some one has too), but they are also providing some protection to the people. That's my opinon anyway.
Justhockey1 3 years ago
didn't know it was a rumor. it's just my observation and information from friends that are local cops. the cops on the streets DO have to generate revenue for the department and the state. it's one of their main purposes.
intrepgun 3 years ago
end of the month is ticket time huh? might want to research that and see what you find. So many people believe this rumor. its not true.
Kartkid024 3 years ago
cops don't have to fill a quota period. That is illegal. how ever must cops wont get out in bad weather just to give you a simple moving violation. But you drive like an ass hole and they will. I can tell you the easiest way not to get a ticket, but i think everyone here knows my method.
Kartkid024 3 years ago
Cops are supposed to leave their vehicles further out in the road, so if a another vehicle goes out of control it will hit the cop car and not the vehicle pulled over. And if they did have to fill a quote I see nothing wrong with cracking down on speeding to fill it. by the way your video sucks.
BoredPollicies 3 years ago
I've got a friend who uses a radar detector on his motorcycle, not so that he can speed because he'd never get the bike slowed down in time to avoid a ticket. It's to give him extra time to react when the cars ahead of him brake violently upon see a cop sitting on the median.

Today's Law Enforcement as our founding fathers would have described them are, a standing army.
They are trained, armed, armored, and supplied as the military are just only shy of missiles/rocket launchers.
Cops are militarized, and if that's what they want, then their court trails should be moved from civil courts to Court Martial hearings.
Weapon01 3 years ago
A glare on the road? Must have been a nice sunny day? I find they always try to fill thier qouta's in nice weather. So I drive like an asshole when it's shitty out. I figure if I'm gonna get a ticket I'll least make him get wet or catch a cold. Mu ha ha. Some say you should be pickin your nose when he comes up because you gotta use their pen. lol

i loved the way they handled the roads in texas. and we have laws that would make it similar, if only people could wrap their brains around it.
if your [lack of] speed hinders the flow of traffic, get out of the way. it's that simple.
in texas, they had a customary wave so no one got offended, and it worked pretty well.
yes, end of the month is ticket time. also, DON'T SPEED in goffstown or dover. notorious for ticketing. i know cross-country truckers that say it's unusually strict.
