Watch Gordy's "How Not To Catch A Fish" video to see his fishing technique!

If you look closely you can see the fish swimming up to Gordy... and around Gordy, through his legs, nibbling on his feet. He's still not quite sure what to do with them but he thinks they're quite fun, anyway!

  • Gordy has the typical focus of a true Spinone ... lol ... I just love this video .... I have 2, 3 year olds .... a wht/orange female, Gabriella, daughter of Jim Channons "Uno Smurf" ..... and a roan rescue from RI/Liz Bodel ... Rufus Rufino Di Morghengo .... AKA "Goofy Rufi" ... he and Gordy would make fishing look like a team sport although he snorkles for fish .... and somtimes in the toilet ... water bowl just for fun ... to see if he can get a "rise from me"

  • @Spinonemaster Gordy is primarily di Morghengo so he and your Rufi are family.

  • Wow, you're a bright ray of sunshine, aren't you! LOL

  • It looks like you are in Maine. We visit every year w/our Spinone, and want to attend Spinone Only Days next year.

  • We're actually in Massachusetts but Gordy was born in Maine and still has family there. We haven't been back up north since he was a baby but he's always in Maine, in spirit!

  • Hello Gordy's Mom: I just discovered this wonderful video and am now using it as a very different kind of "morning meditation." Just lovely with the song sparrows and Gordy's perfect zen-like presence. (Also I've been wanting to get a dog. This may be the breed!) - With thanks!

  • We live in New Hampshire and are seriously considering getting a Spinone. Where did you get yours?

  • give Gordy a hug and a treat for me for Thanksgiving (I often share gordy's vid on my facebook page, it always gets a lot of Ahhhhh's) pic's of Rufus are on my FB page (James Rotchford, in westfield nj) have a nice holiday ... jim

  • @gordysmom , Hello, and yes I figured Rufus and Gordy where family, the di Morghengo line is so easly identifiable, body markings/color, ear set, and that multitude of brown & light hues in their face ... they also seem to get a certain calm "sweetness' with the gene ... did you see the Orvis Dog Book this fall? ... a 3 mo. old brown/roan Spinone pic made the cut (he's a Maine/Portland dog) ...

  • -sigh- I've wanted a Spinone for years. Unfortunately, we already have a dog, a Kelpie (Australian sheepdog) and my mom says it'd be too much hassle to get a second dog. :C

  • Sooooooooo cute! He seems like such a sweet dog! I love how his tail is wagging when he see's a fish!!!!!

  • look at zingovalp's yotube page. he is a neo nazi, so ignore what he says.

  • thats true, at first glance this would seem like a boring video of a person's dog but the colors are amazing and i loved the focus on the fish and showing that it basically heads right toward the dog while its oblivious. its cute and beautiful at the same time.
