some do,All Koufax cards are expensive and the rookie cards of great pitchers, but yeah I see what you mean, most are affordable
-
@mahagga Mickey Mantle will always be more collectible. Just the way it is. Pitchers don't sell. just the way it is when buying and selling cards.

@theIzzyfurreal Sal "the barber" Maglie

@johnnyv1938 and what is Roger Maris claim to fame, breaking the HR record for ...drumroll please...the YANKEES.If he was a KC A when he broke it the card is 20 dollars tops.Gibson wasn't just a pitcher,he was a legend in the clutch, but he w a Cardinal, they don't play in NY.
-
@johnnyv1938 i go by the freebaseballcardpriceguide which takes all things like ebay, card shows, and several other outlets into consideration.Beckett and other so-called book prices are completely unrealistic unless the card is a psa 9 or something. The free guide seems to be a lot more realistic

@mahagga 600? Mantle high book is 1000.00. Pitchers never sell for more. Actually Roger Maris KC A card sells for about 125.00 in this set. The Gibson card is a nice card. i agree with you.

@johnnyv1938 Yankee hype,600 bucks wow.If he were a KC A it would be 50 bucks.Gibson card should be worth more.
-
@mahagga card to get is #10 which is Mickey Mantle.
-
Man that would be fun to bust some 1959 Topps.

I didn't know they even did cello packs back then,I thought that was a early 80's thing.Bob Gibson RC is the card in that set to get.for 400 bucks you would have to get that card plus several hall members to break even.
How much did the cello pack cost you? Pretty fun watching old packs getting opened. A little more fun and joy in your presentation would be good.

Only a punk kid with no knowledge of these players or even a passing familiarity with the era in which they played could come up with embarrassing pronunciations like Billy "Hoft," "Sam(?) Mag-lye," Harry "Hane-brink," & the redoubtable Norm "Sign-bern!" Do a little homework before you start concerning yourself with the value of these cards or at least have someone familiar with the period give you a lesson on the names of some of these players, or better yet, just don't do it at all!

Not sure these were picked over as someone noted.
Looking at the PSA website Sports Market Report.
They show Billy Loes #336 and H. Hankbrink #322 as error cards.
I have no idea of course, but you might check on those two as the online site shows their "book" value to be much greater than the others.
