We should be glad Holly wood is reconizing our FELA not critize them for doing a good Job! Nobody can replace the originality of Fela, its them tell the next generation that there was once a Nigerian Lengend called FELA... Thanks to Will Smith, Jay-Z for their efforts in promoting African Culture, we are Proud of you guys..You are all Africans..Peter Tosh said no matter where you may be as far you are black you are an AFRICAN...God bless..

Nothing can beat the original from over 40 years ago!

I'm really very pleased that they did not mess up or water down the original beat/rythym.. Stayed true to Fela's original "intent"

@AlouiseD yur joking, itsa not in ny any more ?
@atomtopa fela had a house in ikeja and i remember the smell of ganja a mile off and those girls looking stoned all over the place in the area but the music is on another level, yrs later it still as fresh and as relevant and as vital as it was then as it is now, these new interpretations are just another angle so we must not grudge the oyinbo for not reproducing the original as nothing can ever replace fela just as nothing can replace their micheal jackson or their james brown, both unique .
