How annoying to have someone fly a helicopter in your face while you try to relax in the soothing waters of the falls basin. So not cool.

@gary72carol61 That is a side effect of film. The number of frames of film per second do not match the speed with which the rotors are spinning, which results in an optical illusion on film. Its the same effect as when you see the wheels of a vehicle appear to be going backwards in a t.v. program.

@nnejdee He was grabbed by rescuers and pulled ashore once he was pushed within reach of them. Other than being hospitalized for hypothermia, they did not report anything else regarding his status.

@nnejdee There are longer videos of this rescue which include him being thrown a floatation device and subsequently refusing any help. In order to save his life against his wishes, the helicopter pilots were using the downdraft from the prop blades to push the man to shore where more rescue personnel were waiting to grab him.
