Something like national debt is not subject to "simple" algebra. Take into account the banking crisis, an event that was directly caused by finanical deregulation started in the 80's and continued by the Bush Administration. 700 billion dollars in bailout debt is placed immeadiatly on Obama, along with the cost of higher unemployment rates and an aging population. The same shit happened to Van Buran, Andrew Jackson fucked up the economy, then he had to take the heat.

Using simple algebra you'll find by Dec 2011, Obama will have accumulated more debt in three years than George W. did in 8 years.
