Mary Ann Michna's "Remembering James Dean" won first place in the Real Life category of Video Review's Magazine Great Video Review Shootoff. The Shootoff was conceived as the first major conetest geared to consumer-level videographers. The judges panel was made up of noted movie critics Andrew Sarris, Molly Haskell, Jeffrey Lyons, Neal Gabler, David Hajdu and Video review senior editor Glenn Kenny.

Wow, this brings back memories. Thanks for posting this. Should mention they also showed this video on Image Union on PBS quite awhile back. It was nice to see this again. Really loved seeing the interview with Hugh Cauhill again. Is Nicky Bazooka still there every year for the memorial service? Wonder if any of the video fans still make it out to Fairmount regularly....
