Dave didn't do a bad job playing back catalogue songs and One Hot Minute was a great album, IMO the RHCP's best album. However, I understand that Dave's style of guitar is much different from John's, Hillel's, and Josh's so I can see why fans wouldn't like One Hot Minute so much. But, he played John and Hillel's stuff with a lot of heart and effort, and in some cases improved upon the original songs. Give the guy some props, he's one of the best of the last 30 years.
