Rascal vs Newfie Cows

In 2004, my girlfriend Wanda, our dog Rascal and I travelled to St. John's, Newfoundland to visit Wanda's family. She's actually from a little town called Cupids, which is the oldest settlement in Canada. They celebrate their 400th anniversary in 2010.

We climbed up a really large hill across the bay from Wanda's parents' house in Cupids and discovered a large field full of cows. Since Rascal had never seen a cow in his life, we thought it would be funny to tape his reaction. I almost videotaped him getting trampled by that black and white one that comes running into frame at the very end. I had to jump in between Rascal and the cow and wave my arms and make a bunch of screaming girl noises to scare the cow away. That's why there's no audio at the end, didn't want you to hear the girly-ness :)

For those of you waiting for more Persian Gulf videos, I'm having camera issues at the moment but there are lots more to come.

I'm also please to report that Rascal is still alive and well and turned 15 on March 31st, 2011. He's still not a giant fan of cows, however.

@annabodhi38 Thanks Anna! I've recently uploaded a couple of videos of Rascal when we went to Georgia for 3 months in 2000. More to come.

I'm pleased to report that Rascal is alive and well and just turned 14 on March 31st. I tried to link a birthday picture but YouTube didn't like that :)
