Here is the full render of the 8,500,000 particle fluid simulation.
Unfortunately Realflow ended up meshing the last half of the project with a lot of defects.

If anybody can give advice on how to get high res meshes out of Realflow without those defects, that would be appreciated.

Full Screen Recommended!

Here is the teaser I put up before rendering the full version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d9xRHLlm3Ac

  • this is amazing. i really think it may be the best realflow sim i've ever seen. Oh how i wish...

  • @BloodyHeadbutt

    I appreciate it!

  • it looked incredibly real...

    excellent work man...

  • @za1ruc

    Thanks

  • You got the title wrong dude... it's 8.5 million hours of render time -.-

    haha.. no, beautiful render!

Okay, maybe this is a stupid question, but can ReaFlow only do fluid simulations O.o or can it do like a physics simulation with some rigid bodies with some fluids ?

  • @AcAnimate

lol, Thanks! Realflow has options to simulate rigid and soft body dynamics too. I haven't worked with that much

  • I counted 8,499,993 particles.

i didn't think anybody was going to catch that

  • AND, the computer is crashed after that ;)

  • Looks great, but I don't like the unatural square shape of the liquid at the start of the simulation. All to many of these liquid clips have an annoying "particle start shape"

Next time you could consider funnel the simulation particles using a shape off camera... :)

  • So well done. Is getting the fluids to flow and interact like that more about tweaking values or is it more than that?

  • Is there something wrong with the shading or is it the normals that cause the flickering?

  • @bobbbyyy1 is there a place to download pre-made simulations?

  • would it be possible to rebuild gta san andreas with realflow?

  • i dont need real world anymore

  • this must have to took a year to realflow. but also there is a program called Real Life and that can do realflow even more realistic and better physics in just 10 seconds.
