jesus didn't suffer, he knew he was goin' 2 a better place... suffrage is goin' 2 prison at 18 years old, for life... the universe is billions of years old, but god's great plan was for one lil' guy on planet earth to die 2000 years ago? die for my sins? did i ask for him to do that? further did i ask 2 b born? did i ask to b part of a grand experiment? do i amuse god? i've got a bone to pick w/ him, cuz WE ARE CONSCIOUS... now, THAT'S what i call suffrage...

You can tell Him that on Judgment Day, when all the great ones of this world call to the mountains and rocks to fall on them to hide from the face of Him who is seated on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb (Rev. 6:16)

OR, you can acknowledge Him as God, be forgiven of your sins against Him, and rule as kings in the world to come.

Jesus fulfilled the law and the prophets - he performed miracles only God could perform - yet you will believe Mohammad who performs no miracles and comes along some 600 years after Christ? That's nonsense. That's not strait thinking - stop allowing yourself to be deceived.

I agree, He fulfilled more than 332 prophesied miracles. Do you know the odds of that?! God is good.

to say there is pain in the world only so jesus could experience it is circular logic. i would say jesus became human SO that he could experience the pain we feel everyday, but to say it was all started FOR him is silly, for without pain and suffering, there would be no need for jesus for there would of course be no sin. its also like saying there is pain in the world so that we could experience the pain jesus felt. really bad theology here, hes merely trying to rationalize the issue

Thank you so much for this video. What a message. Evil exists so that Christ could come to die for us (an evil people), and in doing so, put on display the magnificence of the grace of God in forgiving sinners, so that he would be more greatly praised for how amazing he is than if evil had never existed. The reason the universe exists is to make God look great, like he is! The heavens declare the glory of God!

God doesn't want us to hurt or suffer.(genesis 6:5-6) He is loving and just (psalm37:8). The scriptures say that God is not wicked. Jesus was so self-less in that action. God wasn't happy to see his Son do such a thing. It had to be done. God is not the cause of pain and suffering in the world. That is not what the bible teaches.

I feel that Mr. Piper has overshot on this. Correct in God's sacrifice - Jesus dying to reconcile us back to God. However, God didn't INTEND for us to deal with pain and suffering. That is most definitely in opposition of the scriptures. God created the Earth, to be perfect. For perfect human being to exists and live. Because of their choices, SIN entered the world. Pain entered- clearly states Eve would experience pain in child birth.

lol, when god created the world, why didnt he just make it perfect, without sin, without suffering, without temptation?! then his son wouldnt have to suffer!.....this is flawed logic.
