  • So im guessing its best not to catch your fingers in this thing? :)

  • @snedie69er

Learn how to spell before you make such "intelligent" remarks. What expertise can you offer on the subject? I'm sure all of your video game experience in your mom's basement makes you the supreme authority. FYI this idea was evaluated by the BP emergency response team, and they used a similar piece of equipment to cut off the failed riser, in case you missed it on the live satellite feed. Better put your avatar to bed, you little computer nerd.

Yer, I know it's already over but in the future leave the people with at least a PhD to put the comments in

  • Bad to the bone!!!

  • You should sell one of these things to BP but first modify it to have flat jaws so that it will be able to pinch the damaged oil riser closed in the gulf of mexico to shut off the oil leak, dangle it from a barge using a long steel cable, and power it from a submerine with short hydraulic lines. Already tried to submit this idea through their website, but who knows if it will get noticed....

  • gee I gotta get me one of those

  • I've never paid much attention to these things until today when I scrapped a large CNC machine from my shop. The rails "were" made of 12"x16" steel box tube with 3/4" wall thickness. I hauled the 22' side rails to the scrap yard and they used a sheer like this to chop the box tube into 4' sections. Standing 50' from it while it was working was kinda scarry and made you wonder if thats what it would feel like to walk among dinosaurs.

  • that was amazing that was like a 6 or 8 inch solid round stock in the beginning and it cut it like it was cardboard that was impressive good video

  • about a year ago We had a shear with 174 tons of cutting force. Cuts a car or truck in half like butter. That dosn't compare to this one though.

  • Incredible power.
